Improvement of the Salinized Soil Properties of Fly Ash by Freeze-Thaw Cycles: An Impact Test Study

To explore the mechanism of microstructural change in salinized soil under freeze-thaw cycles and strength characteristics subgrade improved by fly ash, an unconfined compressive test, a triaxial shear scanning electron microscopy test were carried out using samples with different ash contents along Suihua to Daqing expressway China. The results showed that after several cycles, strength, cohesion, internal friction angle saline decreasing trend. With increase content, angle, first increased then decreased. When content was 15%, mechanical indexes, such as cohesion reached maximum value. Microscopic cycle will lead proportion pores cracks, average pore size, loosening structure. addition can fill pores, improve microstructure soil, cohesive force particles, overall soil. Fly (15%) be added process construction Suihua-Daqing area resistance freezing thawing cycles. These research are conducive promoting comprehensive utilization improving rate resources, sustainable development, thus providing reference for design roadbed engineering seasonal frozen areas development land belts winter areas.
